Transfer Orientation

Welcome to Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University. For Transfer Orientation, we invite Transfer students with 30 or more transfer credit hours, Re-entry FranU students (with or without additional credit hours), and Post Baccalaureate (completed degree) students. We provide you the opportunity to learn more about the University and its unique services all of which helps to make your transition from your previous institution or your re-entry to FranU a pleasant one. We are aware of the hard work and preparation you have expended and hope your journey here will be enjoyable, exciting, and rewarding. Re-entry students having been out for two semesters or more are strongly encouraged to attend Transfer Orientation.

We also offer a Family Orientation session which runs simultaneously at the same location. This one day orientation allows your family member(s) the opportunity to learn about the University's different departments and policies as it will relate to your unique college experience.

We encourage you to meet with your advisor and schedule your classes prior to orientation. Transfer Orientation is held in our Biological Learning and Research Building (BLRB, Building #7 on Campus Map), 5222 Brittany Drive, Suite B, Baton Rouge, LA 70808 and check-in begins at 8:30am. Dress comfortably on orientation day. You will take a brief walking tour of campus. We suggest you bring a sweater or jacket should the room temperature become cool and an umbrella if it looks like there may be rain.
