The School of Health Professions encompasses all of the Allied Health programs in the University. We are proud to provide a variety of programs at the associate, baccalaureate and graduate degree levels to meet the needs of our students and of our community.
Welcome to the School of Health Professions. We prepare graduates who promote, maintain and restore health through primary care, nutritional science, respiratory therapy, and physical therapy services as well as perform radiologic and laboratory testing. Our expansive degree programs offer interdisciplinary education in state of the art teaching environments. Our faculty are dedicated educators and clinicians who infuse excitement and ‘real world’ learning into the classroom, laboratory, clinical and community experiences. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (2017), healthcare is the fastest growing industry in the United States, thus making this an exciting time to explore health professions education.

The School of Health Professions encompasses all of the Allied Health programs at the University. We are proud to provide a variety of programs at the associate, baccalaureate and graduate degree levels to meet the needs of our students and our community. Our vision is to develop programs that prepare students to meet the challenges and demands of the ever changing healthcare environment. Students prepare for the challenges of patient and community care environments by demonstrating competency in skills and knowledge related to their course of study and by engaging in inter-disciplinary case studies in our Simulated Environment Teaching Hospital (SETH). Each program provides clinic based internships that prepare students for entry-level competency in their program of study.
